Discovering Sarajevo

Hi-didly-doo!

Now we have discovered and walked around Sarajevo. From the previous post we taught that it is more affordable go through the sights by ourselves, but realized that the hostel offer was quite good (guide, transportation and entry fee's etc.). So we will do the "Sarajevo in a nutshell tomorrow" :) (BTW, the hostel is "Hostel City Center Sarajevo (HCC Sarajevo)", and we realy like it)

Some discoveries from Sarajevo:

Walter is examining some old war stuff. They also had some home made weapons e.g. shotguns...

The "Latin Bridge" over the river. It was here Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie were assassinated and which escalated to the beginning of World War I.

Interesting sticker on an add.

These are some memories from the bombing of Sarajevo. You could also see a lot of holes in the buildings around Sarajevo.

This is the statue for all the Children that have died during the war.

As you can see the circular plate is filled with children's foot steps.

City by night with a big rocket :) (The muslim area of town).

There was a weird statue in the stairway to our hostel...

We also bought train tickets to Mostar (about 5e/person) and we are going there on Saturday morning at seven. We will only stay there for a day and continue to the Croatian coast in the evening.

Travel tip: A good bus/boat timetable site, http://www.autobusni-kolodvor.com/en/default.aspx
