Sarajevo in a nutshell

Today we participated in the city tour arranged by our hostel. It was like Sarajevo in a nutshell. Perhaps the main sight was the tunnel that was built during the war in 1992-1995 to supply the city with ammunition and humanitarian help...

This is the house where the entrance was. A family lived there and was situated in the "free zone"

The tunnel from inside. Only ~20 meters of the tunnel was available for this museum. Total length has been ~800 meters.

Me. Bent in the tunnel (160 cm high).

We also visited some sites related to the Olympic games, that were held 1984 in Sarajevo. This is the bob sledge track, or what was left of it after the war.

A Panorama view of Sarajevo. Me and "Steve" from Australia, note his Sziget t-shirt.

Sniper alley. This is probably the most famous alley in Sarajevo, but actually the whole town was guarded by the snipers...

Tomorrow morning we say good bye to Sarajevo and go to Mostar for a day and night.
