National Park Plitvice Lakes

On thursday we took a day trip to a national park halfway to Zagreb, Plitvice Lakes. It was really nice and beautiful although there were A LOT of tourists. There were several different routes that you could choose from, divided into duration. We had limited time so we chose a ~4 hour route. We just blended in to the other tourists, mostly germans. The national park had boat and bus transportation, so we did first boat, then a walk and then a bus transport to the starting point.

The water was turquoise and very clear. Ducks and fish lived side by side :)

The lakes were all in different levels so there were a lot of waterfalls between them.

Croatia's highest waterfall, 78 meters.

A view to the valley. The paths were so crowded that I cant understand why no one fell into the water. You could not get peace for yourself anywhere, but it was worth the experience :)

The buss stopped at a restaurant which had some animals in the backyard. Two bears and one baby bear :) According to our local resources they are animals that have lost their parents in a traffic accident.

Bambi eating vegetables.
